Clearview Touch of Home is a collaborative effort between Liberty Corner Enterprises, WNC Housing, Inc., Western Highlands LME and Helen Keller National Center. As an affiliate program of the Helen Keller National Center, Liberty Corner Enterprises receives ongoing support and training for staff. Vocational Services to Persons who are Deaf-Deaf/Blind Individuals with multi-sensory impairments and other developmental challenges receive a full spectrum of employment services in 17 western counties of North Carolina. Services include vocational assessment, training, placement, and follow-up support. These services assist the individual in securing community based jobs - either in small work crews called "enclaves" or in individual jobs with the assistance of a "job coach". Our supported employment staff and Division of Services for the Blind Specialists work closely with each worker to help determine job interests and abilities, to find an appropriate position, and to tailor the job to meet the worker's needs. Depending upon their needs, some individuals are assisted by a full-time, one-on-one staff person to assure success on the job. Others move through stages toward complete independence in the work place. The staff's role then becomes that of follow-up support with the person and the employer. Each individual is eligible for retraining or job-change as the need or desire arises. Consultative Services Liberty Corner Enterprises collaborates with the Western Regional Interagency Team serving consumers who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind and their families. This interagency team is made up of Local Management Entities serving individuals with Mental Health, Substance Use and Developmental Disabilities, the North Carolina Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Division of Services for the Blind. LCE supports this interagency team in providing the following services:
